Grade 7 STE

In line with the Mater Deian philosophy of education, vision and mission, the Home Room-Guidance program aims to assist each student to become a person who recognizes and appreciates his/her God-given unique potentials (talino) and is willing to persevere (tiyaga) to develop and share it for the common good. As a learning community, mentored by their adviser,  the students are taught  to be deeply grateful to God and imbued with a desire to learn to love Him with all their heart, mind, strength and soul and to love others as God loves them (Pusong dakila). 

Computer Science 7 is a course about learning how to effectively use different Office application tools and how to create websites using HTML. The grade 7 students should be able to know how to use Office applications on a day to day document, spreadsheet, presentation, and even in communication needs online, and the basic structure of the HTML website. The course will be using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.  

Environmental Science, as one of the branches of Earth Science, covers the basic information about the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and their applications. This course integrates many science concepts to explain common environmental processes. Most of these are applications of gained knowledge and skills in Integrated Science, Biology, and Chemistry.  It also focuses on how humans are beneficial and are harmful to the environment through various activities. The course also includes values and attitudes toward the environment and resource conservation and protection.

Naipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang pag-unawa sa mga angkop na inaasahang kakayahan at kilos sa panahon ng pagdadalaga / pagbibinata, kakayahan at talento, hilig at pagkatao ng tao tungo sa pagtupad ng mga tungkulin sa sarili, sa kapwa, sa bansa/ daigdig at sa Diyos at pagtatakda ng mithiin upang mapanagutan ang kahihinatnan ng mga pasya at kilos.

This course can help the learners distinguish mixtures from substances through analyzing the different examples around us. After studying how organ systems work together in plants and animals in the lower grade levels, they will now understand the different parts and functions of the microscope, and its importance in studying micro-organisms. Thus, they may be able to recognize that living things are organized into different levels: Cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, and organisms. These organisms comprise populations and communities, which interact with non-living things ecosystem.   

Learners can also describe the motion of objects in terms of distance and speed, and represent this in tables, graphs, charts, and equations.  They can describe the Philippines in terms of its resources and archaeological location, and how the occurrence of breezes, monsoons,  ITCZ, and weather systems affect the people. Learners can also explain why seasons change and demonstrate how eclipse occurs.

Mathematics 7 welcomes the students in a more complex yet exciting and interesting mathematical concepts. This course provides the foundational skills in different fields of mathematics such as algebra, geometry and statistics which are vital as they progress in their mathematics courses. Students will have the chance to explore and to have deeper understanding on topics related to numbers and number sense;   measurement; patterns and algebra; geometry; and statistics and probability.

English 7 helps the learners learn about the desirable traits of a Filipino as well as his/her roles and duties as a citizen through the oral literature and informative texts which highlight the values of Filipinos and the practice of language.

Based on K to 12 Curriculum Guide, at the end of every lesson in this course, the learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of Philippine Literature and other texts types for a deeper appreciation of Philippine Culture.
