In this course, students are expected to be able to identify visually and aurally, the kinds of notes and rests in a song as well as recognize rhythmic patterns using quarter note, half note, dotted half note, dotted quarter note, and eighth note in simple time signature.

In line with the Mater Deian philosophy of education, vision and mission, the Home Room-Guidance program aims to assist each student to become a person who recognizes and appreciates his/her God-given unique potentials (talino) and is willing to persevere (tiyaga) to develop and share it for the common good. As a learning community, mentored by their adviser, the students are taught to be deeply grateful to God and imbued with a desire to learn to love Him with all their heart, mind, strength and soul and to love others as God loves them (Pusong dakila).

In Computer 5, the learners will explore the world of digital media, navigating how digital media is distributed and how it impacts businesses, governments, children, and people's everyday lives. online communication takes center stage where the advantages and smart use of instant messaging, social networks, and emails are presented, not foregoing discussions on responsible use and safety in utilizing them and dealing with online identity theft and cyberbullying. Smart web browsing and downloading giving pointers on effective and advanced searching strategies and steps on how to resolve computer errors.
Also, we are going to tackle word, spreadsheet, and presentation programs respectively, this time detailing functions of various tools and commands and how to use them to create designs, tables, charts, and slides. expected outputs for these chapters are actual labels, posters, banners, budget plans, advertisements, and slide-show presentations.

Araling Panlipunan 5
Sa pagtatapos ng ika-limang baitang, maipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang pag-unawa at pagpapahalaga sa pagkakabuo ng kapuluan ng Pilipinas at mga sinaunang lipunan hanggang sa mga malalaking pagbabagong pang-ekonomiya at ang implikasyon nito sa lipunan sa simula ng ika-labing siyam na siglo, gamit ang batayang konsepto katulad ng kahalagahang pangkasaysayan (historical significance), pagpapatuloy at pagbabago, ugnayang sanhi at epekto tungo sa paglinang ng isang batang mamamayang mapanuri, mapagmuni, responsable, produktibo, makakalikasan, makatao at makabansa at may pagpapahalaga sa mga usapin sa lipunan sa nakaraan at kasalukuyan tungo sa pagpanday ng maunlad na kinabukasan para sa bansa

Music, Arts, P.E., Health 5
Our World of MAPEH satisfies the K to 12 curricula of the Department of Education in form and substance. It includes essential topics of music, art, physical education, and health. New strategies and approaches have been infused in the discussion of the lessons. Activities are varied and emphasize the mastery of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. Learners are able to recognize the beauty of music and the arts, as well as the importance of health and fitness as the embodiment of a whole and complete person.
MUSIC. This section presents varied lessons and activities to develop the learners' sensitivity to the expressive qualities of music. Concepts on musical elements such as rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, timbre, form and tempo are intensified to help the learners appreciate and recognize the importance of music.
ART. This section gives importance to the learners' visualization of our history and culture. This section aims to inspire the next generation of local artists to further develop their art skills in progression with the Philippine art scene in the 21st century.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION. This section provides activities that contribute to the learners' health and wellness. These activities will help build and develop the learners.' endurance in playing games, undergoing fitness tests, dancing, and engaging in various calisthenics
HEALTH. This section also aims to magnify the conceptual framework of Physical Education lessons. in order for the learners to achieve and maintain overall wellness. The activities in this section empower the learners with the essential knowledge and understanding of healthy habits, good nutrition, and prevention and control of diseases.

Pagkatapos ng Ikalimang Baitang, naipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang kakayahan sa pakikipagtalastasan, mapanuring pag-iisip at, pagpapahalaga sa panitikan at kultura sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang teksto/ babasahing lokal at pambansa.

Mathematics 5
In Mathematics 5, learners will be instructed and given practice in basic mathematical operations
and problem-solving strategies in the areas of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole
numbers, decimals, fractions, ratio and proportion, and geometry.

English 5
At the end of Grade 5, the learner can demonstrate interest and confidence in the use of the language to meet various needs by listening critically to different text types, expressing ideas logically in oral and written forms; listens critically to news reports and other radio broadcasts and expresses ideas accurately in oral and in written forms; and reads independently and gets relevant information from various text types.

Science 5
At the end of Grade 5, learners can decide whether materials are safe and useful by investigating about some of their properties. They can infer that new materials may form when there are changes in properties due to certain conditions. Learners have developed healthful and hygienic practices related to the reproductive system after describing changes that accompany puberty. They can compare different modes of reproduction among plant and animal groups and conduct an investigation on pollination. They have become aware of the importance of estuaries and intertidal zones and help in their preservation. Learners can describe the movement of objects in terms of distance and time travelled. Learners recognize that different materials react differently with heat, light, and sound. They can relate these abilities of materials to their specific uses. Learners can describe the changes that earth materials undergo. They can make emergency plans with their families in preparation for typhoons. They can observe patterns in the natural events by observing the appearance of the Moon.
