The preliminaries of this course include the following: 1) discussion on the relevance of the course; 2) explanation of key concepts of common competencies; 3) explanation of core competencies relative to the course; and 4) exploration of career opportunities.

STEM - Practical Research 2 (Quantitative Research)

PR 2 aims to develop the student's knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values as beginners in quantitative research. At the end of the course, they shall have acquired the needed knowledge and skills in designing and conducting research using the quantitative methodology. The course includes in-depth discussions of the nature and process of quantitative research, the different quantitative research designs, and considerations for design choice; conducting a critical review of literature; developing research problems and questions; developing a theoretical and conceptual framework; conducting data collection, analysis and interpretation; and familiarization with the parts of an academic paper using the APA format. As a capstone project, students are expected to submit and present a good quantitative research paper by group.

Empowerment Technology, an applied subject designed to provide Filipino students with the required foundation of knowledge and skills needed in order for them to survive and succeed in the ever-changing digital world.


This course aims to cover numerous topics such as the present state of ICT technologies; the online safety, security, ethics, and etiquette of a netizen; modern tools and software; content designing for online world; multimedia tools; and the power of ICT to create social and global changes; all of which are aligned to the standards set by the Department of Education.
